VPRS 19378 Joint Committee of Board of Management and Honorary Medical and Staff Representatives Minutes

This record series consists of the minutes of the Joint Committee of Board of Management and Honorary Medical Staff Representatives of Prince Henry's Hospital. The first meeting of the Joint Committee of Board of Management and Honorary Medical and Staff Representatives recorded in these books was held on 28 May 1954. Subjects covered in the minutes include the following: staffing, equipment, delegated authorities, accommodation, fund raising, recordkeeping, patient management, recruitment, administrative procedures and processes, vehicle parking, medical school, beds, building projects, and organisation restructures. The volumes include a list of meeting dates at the front with folio references. This is only partially completed for Unit 2 (consignment C1). The Committee met roughly between three and six times per year. The last minutes recorded in this series are dated 16 June 1972. Earlier meetings of the Joint Committee (1951 - 1954) are to be found in Unit 2 (consignment C1) of the Minutes of Sundry Committees VPRS 19367. The index at the front of the volume provides meeting dates and folio numbers. The first meeting of this Committee was held on 10 April 1951. It was suggested that meetings should be held at three-monthly intervals.
