Analysis of Socioecological Systems from the Community Capital Approach in the Colombian Andean-Amazon Region

This dataset is part of the study “Analysis of Socio-Ecological Systems through the Community Capitals Framework in the Colombian Andean-Amazon Region”, aimed at characterizing and understanding the social, economic, and ecological dynamics of 52 rural households located in the municipalities of Belén de los Andaquíes, Florencia, and San José del Fragua, in the department of Caquetá. The published data comprises three main files: 1. Metadatos.xlsx (Metadata):Provides a detailed description of the variables collected through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) surveys and workshops. These variables are categorized around the seven community capitals: social, natural, financial, built, cultural, political, and human capitals. It includes the type of data, measurement units, and thematic axis associated with each variable. 2. Capitales Comunitarios.xlsx (Community Capitals):Records the specific field values obtained for each variable associated with the seven capitals, enabling the construction of the Socio-Ecological State Index (SESI) and the classification of households into three types: Multifaceted Producers, Versatile Producers, and Biodiverse Producers. 3. Ejes Temáticos.xlsx (Thematic Axes):Classifies the study variables based on their relationship with different analytical dimensions, including family well-being, livelihoods, natural resources, social organization, and environmental perception. This thematic structure facilitated multivariate analyses and the development of aggregated indicators.
