The parameters estimates are accompanied by 95% credibility intervals (in brackets). The shape parameter for non-synonymous sites from the 1000 Genomes data in this study is different from that inferred from previous datasets (e.g. Eyre-Walker et al., 2006). Note that the categories of Nes are different to those from the method of Boyko et al., 2009 and the proportion of mutations in the various categories of Nes from the two methods are not directly comparable.
