The efficiency of PAH-degrading marine bacteria was studied in small containers in the laboratory. The soil contaminated with crude oil, collected from a disposal site at one of the ONGC facilities was used for this. The microbial community was studied using sequencing of V3-V4 regions of 16S rRNA at the end of the degradation cycle.
