Nitrate availability modulates the temperature sensitivity of N2O and N2 production from denitrification

The datasets include (1) a meta-analysis of published studies quantifying the temperature sensitivity of N₂O and N₂ production inferred or distinguished as denitrification in aquatic sediments and terrestrial soils, and (2) experimentally determined rates of N₂O and N₂ production from denitrification in sediments collected from experimental freshwater ponds in Dorset, UK. The data comprise temperature, nitrate concentration, and measured gas production rates, along with associated metadata and reference information.
