Mapping scree slope habitats in Portugal: A tool for Natura 2000 conservation - Supplementary Files

This dataset contains the supplementary materials for the study: "Mapping scree slope habitats in Portugal: A tool for Natura 2000 conservation." The data provided supports the identification and characterization of scree slope habitats across the study area (continental Portugal). Dataset Contents 1. Spatial Data (QGIS Project) The file QGIS Project and Rasters.zip contains the complete QGIS workspace and the associated raster layers used for the study. All rasters are clipped to the study area and reclassified based on the thresholds defined in the manuscript: Raster 1: ElevationAbove58m Raster 2: SlopeAbove6º Raster 3: NDVIBellow0.3 Raster 4: SelectedGeology Raster 5: PotentialScreeSlopeDistribution 2. Supplementary Tables Supplementary Table I (Reference scree slopes): Reference scree slope list including unique scree codes, geographic coordinates (Lat/Long), area (m^2), and source of identification (Literature vs. Field/Expert Knowledge). Supplementary Table II (Environmental Variables): Elevation, Slope, and NDVI values for each of the reference scree slopes. Supplementary Table III (NDVI Threshold Analysis): Evaluation of NDVI thresholds (between ≤ 0.2 and ≤ 0.3). Inclusion/exclusion for each reference scree per threshold, and total percentage of habitats included/excluded under each threshold. Supplementary Table IV (Geological Reference): Legend and classification for the selected geological units for the selected geological map, linking unit codes to lithological descriptions. Supplementary Table V (Land Cover Classification): Cross-comparison for each of the reference screes with the Corine Land Cover (CLC) and the Portuguese National Soil Use Map (COS) classifications.
