The 13th Population Census. In order to clarify the state of Japan’s population and households, the population census has been conducted in Japan almost every five years.More details on the "Population Census of Japan" overall including other years can be found here: https://d-infra.ier.hit-u.ac.jp/Japanese/statistical-yb/b001.html. 　　　　　Starting with this census, the Population Census asks about the type of building respondents live in. Moreover, while in the past a cabinet order or the like had been enacted for each census, from this census onward, censuses were based on revisions of the Cabinet Order for the Population Census and the Rules for the Execution of the Population Census enacted in 1980.
