Rainbow trouts were exposed chronically through the diet to two brominated flame retardants: 1,2-bis(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)ethane (BTBPE, CAS 37853-59-1) and 2-ethylhexyl 2,3,4,5-tetrabromobenzoate (EH-TBB, CAS 183658-27-7). Liver transcriptome was analyzed by RNA-sequencing at the end of the exposure to measure differential gene expression and identify potential biological effects and modes of action of each substance.
