GMVD (Generalized Multi-View Detection Dataset)

The GMVD dataset facilitates generalized multi-view detection with overlapping fields of view. We constructed the synthetic multi-view detection dataset using Grand Theft Auto V (GTAV) and the Unity Game Engine. The GMVD dataset includes seven distinct scenarios: one indoor (subway) and six outdoor ones. One of these scenarios is reserved for the test split. We vary the total number of cameras in each scenario, and provide diverse camera configurations within individual scenarios. Other notable features of GMVD include daytime variations (morning, afternoon, evening, night) and weather variations (sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy). The images in the dataset are high-resolution (1920×1080) and synchronized. Depending on the scenario, the average coverage ranges from 2.76 to 6.4 cameras.
