资源简介:
This series comprises printed, carbon and spirit duplicate copies of Notice Papers and other documents created in relation to meetings of the Melbourne Tramway Trust (VA 2692). All of the papers were created to be circulated to members and municipalities represented on the Trust. The volumes in this series are marked as belonging to the "Secretary's Office".The papers have been glued into place to be permanently bound chronologically within the volumes. The documents include:notice papers for ordinary and special meetings; advice on expenditure to municipalities represented on the Trust; notice of election of members; 1/2 yearly statements of receipts and expenditure, etc..With the exception of the statements of receipts and expenditure, all of the information contained in this series may be duplicated in one or more of the following series: VPRS 7194, Rough Minute Books; VPRS 7202, Committee's Minute Books; VPRS 7203, Trust Minute Books; VPRS 7210, Finance and Works Committee Report Books. This series has been retained as the only record extant recording the Trust's statements of receipts and expenditure. The P2 consignment comprises two volumes containing papers dating from 1887 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1900 respectively. At the time the P1 consignment was processed, another volume covering the years 1884 to 1887 was cited and listed, however, it was never transferred into custody. Although it's whereabouts are not known it nevertheless provides a commencement date for the series of 1884. Notice papers were produced up to the last meeting of the Trust in February 1916, however, the papers for the period 1911-1916 have not been retained as all of the information they contained is duplicated in another series.
