ERUA WP5 – SDGs Inventory Guide to the structure and use of the Inventory This data collection is part of Work Package 5 (WP5) of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA). Its purpose is to map the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across university curricula, research output, and the regions in which the ERUA campuses are located. MYKOLO ROMERIO UNIVERSITETAS (MRU) What the inventory contains The inventory is organized into three folders, which together give a comprehensive view of ERUA’s competencies and regional performance with respect to the SDGs. Curricula Course-level mapping and aggregate analysis for all ERUA partner universities, recording the relationship between course content and the SDGs. Documentation of the data collection and analysis methods is provided separately within the folder. Research Publication-level mapping and subsequent analysis of research produced by all ERUA partner universities, recording the relationship between ERUA research output and the SDGs. Indicators for Regions Two independent regional resources: an inventory of Eurostat regional SDG indicators, with statistical-source metadata; material from the Regional Innovation Scoreboard (RIS), used to examine regional innovation performance. Note on inventory use The analytical strength of the ERUA SDGs Inventory lies in combining complementary evidence systems that must nonetheless remain analytically distinct. The three datasets are not interchangeable. Curricula and Research describe university capacity (skills and knowledge). Eurostat indicators describe regional realities. RIS describes regional innovation potential. Their value emerges from the relationships between them, which can be used to identify deficits, strengths, and synergies, both within ERUA and between ERUA and regional stakeholders.
