Genome sequencing of Vibrio species

The genus Vibrio is a large group of bacteria isolated from marine, brackish and human origins. These bacteria make a significant contribution to nutrient cycles by mediating the decomposition of organic matter. Strains of the genus Vibrio also show versatile metabolism. The aim of this project is to expand the genomic background of the genus Vibrio.
