Expression data from two thyroid cell lines following miR-7-5p or negative control transfection

miR-7-5p is a recently discovered downregulated miRNA in thyroid papillary carcinoma (PTC). The goal of this project was to characterize the role of miR-7-5p in thyroid tumorigenesis and to identify the targeted modulated pathways. miR-7-5p was transiently transfected into TPC1 and HT-ori3 cells, two thyroid-derived cell lines, in order to perform functional assays and to study global gene expression. Functional assays, RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays are performed 4 days after transfection.
