Whole genome sequencing analysis of APOBEC3B induced clones of HEK293 embryonic kidney cell lines with silenced TP53.

This study was done to elucidate the APOBEC3B derived mutagenesis (Kataegis). HEK293-A3B-p53 (APOBEC3B induced and TP53 inactivated) cells were treated either with 1ug/ml doxocycline (induced) or 0ug/ml doxocycline (non-induced / DMSO) for 14 days followed by single cell sorting and clone expansion. DNA was extracted from the selected clones (dox-13 and DMSO) and the whole genome sequencing of DNA samples was performed to analyse the APOBEC induced mutation patterns.
