Public description: The goal was to quantify geographic patterns of genetic variation across 38 localities of Eurycea salamanders from central Texas, USA including populations of the Eurycea neotenes complex and closely related congeneric lineages. We specifically measured admixture, levels of differentiation and tested the possibility of gene flow to evaluate the nominal taxonomic hypothesis and to inform conservation.
