Genome-wide comparative methylation analysis reveals the fate of germ stem cells after surrogate production in teleost

Surrogate production technologies in fish by germ stem cell transplantation into the sterile recipient is becoming popular but lacks epigenetic information of the donor-derived gametes. In our study, we have thoroughly investigated and compared the genome-wide DNA methylation pattern of donor-derived gametes, and the progeny derived from them in two different types of chimera (interspecific and intraspecific) with the donor strain. Overall design: We have performed whole genome bisulfite sequencing of genomic DNA from sperm and whole larvae from three groups
