Healthy Creek and Reef/ Theresa Creek Falls Link/ Revegetation - Phase 2

The overall project of which this project is a part is to plant up to 16,000 trees (6.4 hectares) on the banks of the Theresa and Saint Patricks Creeks to enrich and link up planted and remnant native vegetation and help re-enthuse a community with the need for practical methods of achieving wet tropics riverine restoration. The project will filter and reduce pollutants going to the Barrier Reef and improve climate change resilience, restore Indigenous cultural values and protect threatened species. It will contribute to re-connection of rare remnant world heritage rainforest patches identified as a high priority in the Johnstone Rivers Management Plan.
