Latin America: number of femicide victims 2022, by country

In 2022, Brazil registered a total of 1,437 murder cases that were classified as femicides, or the killing of a woman or girl on account of their gender. Meanwhile, the number of women killed on account of their gender in Mexico reached 976 in that same year.
