This dataset contains processed aerosol optical properties, forest fire smoke classification results, and analysis codes used in the study “Intensity-Resolved Classification of Forest Fire Smoke via Fused Satellite and Ground-Based Optical Climatology”. The dataset integrates ground-based aerosol observations from AERONET, fire emission information from the Global Fire Emissions Database version 5 (GFED5), and land cover classification from the MODIS MCD12C1 product. The processed data include quality-controlled aerosol optical parameters, matched fire-related samples, and multi-level clustering results used to identify characteristic optical fingerprints of forest fire smoke. The accompanying Python scripts provide the complete workflow for data preprocessing, clustering analysis, and visualization, enabling full reproducibility of the results presented in the associated manuscript. All original datasets are publicly available from their respective data providers (NASA AERONET, GFED5, and NASA Earthdata). This repository contains only derived data and analysis codes generated in this study.
