Whole Genome Sequencing Based Genomic Characterization of Klebsiella Clinical Isolates

This project aims to perform whole-genome sequencing (WGS) on Klebsiella clinical isolates to investigate their antimicrobial resistance profiles, virulence determinants, and phylogenetic relationships. High-quality genome assemblies will be generated to identify resistance genes, plasmid replicons, sequence types (MLST), and pathogenicity factors. Comparative genomics will be used to assess genetic diversity and track possible transmission events. The results will contribute to a better understanding of Klebsiella evolution and its role in hospital-acquired infections.
