Beach-face slopes from satellite-derived shorelines along SE Australia and California

This repository contains the data described in <em>Vos et al. 2020, "Beach slopes from satellite-derived shorelines"</em>. There are 2 files: - <strong>slopes_along_transects.geojson</strong>: contains a geospatial layer with cross-shore transects for sandy coastlines along SE Australia and California. For each transect the beach-face slope (from MSL to MHWS) is included in the attributes as 'beach slope'. - <strong>slopes_along_transects.geojson</strong>: contains a geospatial layer with sandy beaches for SE Australia and California. For each sandy beach the median beach-face slope, calculated using the cross-shore transects, is included in the attributes as 'median slope'.
