Talikser dataset: Drone orthomosaics for kelp mapping in Sanday Island (Orkney, UK)

As part of the Talisker project (led by Plymouth Marine Laboratory), drone field campaigns were carried out in Orkney Islands in July 2023. Drone images were collected using a DJI Phantom4 Pro v2.0 within VLOS in a pre-planned grid mission using the ”DJI GS Pro” mission planner software. Orthomosaics were created using methasape to study the feasibility of mapping kelp in two areas of Sanday island: -Kettletof = (59.229271, -2.604081) -Newark = (59.268429, -2.485455)
