GMS Processed S-VISSR data archived at JMA

GMS's S-VISSR(Stretched VISSR) data has received and processed at the JWA on a real time basis since January 1993. S-VISSR data has been stored on 4mm DAT, every hour. During data processing, S-VISSR data is generated with in-flight calibration and additional processing with geometric correction. Geometric correction area is 100 E to 180 W and 0 N to 60 N. Spatal resolution is applied to about 6.0 km. JWA has provided processed AVHRR data by floppy disk and magnetic tape(1/2 inch, 8mm).
