Comparative Chloroplast Genomics of Mulberry (Morus spp.)

This project investigated the evolutionary consequences of extreme polyploidy in mulberry (Morus spp), with a particular focus on Morus nigra. Through comparative analysis of plastomes across multiple Morus species, the study aims to clarify the polyploid nature of M.nigra and its evolutionary position, while providing genomic resources for phylogenetics, breeding, and plant evolutionary biology.
