This dataset supports the study of "Assessing wind erosion probability to guide soil conservation and enhance agricultural sustainability in the sandy lands of northern China". The dataset contains seasonal and spatially resolved calculations of air density, wind speed, and occurrence probability of wind erosion derived from meteorological station data and statistical modeling.
Specifically, the dataset includes:
1. Seasonal mean air density at meteorological stations within the interpolation region.
2. Input variables used for constructing the random forest model.
3. Calculation of threshold wind velocity.
4. Wind speed distribution parameters derived from the joint probability density functions (JPDFs) of air density and wind speed under different seasonal mean air density conditions.
5. Predicted wind speed distribution parameters for each pixel and the corresponding occurrence probability of wind erosion calculated by combining the threshold wind velocity.
6. Seasonal variation in the occurrence probability of wind erosion for each pixel.
7. Seasonal variation of maximum occurrence probability of wind erosion for each pixel and the corresponding season of the maximum value
The data are provided in structured folders with descriptive filenames. All variables are documented in the accompanying CSV files, and results are intended to support spatial analysis, model validation, and future environmental applications related to wind erosion under varying climate conditions.
