This thesis develops a cost-effective weather monitoring solution by integrating 3D-printed hardware, sensors and Internet of Things connectivity. A novel mechanical framework and data calibration methods are developed to provide a reliable, full-scale solution for harsh tropical environments. This system can help vulnerable populations monitor local weather and help to facilitate environmental health studies and raise awareness of the impacts of climate change.
