Whole-genome high-depth resequencing of Small-tailed Han sheep

This project provides whole-genome high-depth resequencing data of 35 Small-tailed Han sheep collected from Yuncheng, Shandong Province, China. The Small-tailed Han sheep is a prominent indigenous breed in China, characterized by its high fecundity, rapid growth, and excellent adaptability. By employing high-depth sequencing, this study aims to explore the genetic diversity and population structure of this breed at a high resolution. These genomic resources will be instrumental for identifying selection signatures related to prolificacy and other important economic traits, providing a foundation for molecular breeding and genetic conservation.
