Replication Data for: Divided Government and U.S. Military Interventions Design

This replication package contains the data and Stata code to reproduce the empirical findings from the article, \"Divided Government and U.S. Military Interventions Design,\" forthcoming in Security Studies. The dataset (`intervention_data.csv`) includes 78 cases of major U.S. military interventions from 1993 to 2022, with variables coding for intervention characteristics (e.g., goal clarity, troop deployment) and key political and contextual factors (e.g., divided government, threat level). The accompanying Stata do-file (`replication_code.do`) executes all steps necessary to reproduce the main regression results presented in the paper, including the ordered logit and OLS models from Table 2, the mediation analysis from Table 3, and the robustness checks from Table A1. The code is self-contained and requires Stata version 16 or higher. A `README.txt` file provides detailed instructions for replication.
