Chromosome-level genome assembly and transcriptome analysis of Chinese wingnut provides insights into its genome evolution and the gene regulation of starch and sucrose metabolism in wingnut

<i>Pterocarya stenoptera</i> belongs to the walnut family (Juglandaceae), is an ecologically important, wind pollinated, woody deciduous tree<i>. </i>We assembled a high-quality, chromosome-level de novo genome of <i>P. stenoptera. </i>The genome size was 555.2 Mb, with a scaffold N50 size of 28.82 Mb.
