The project carries out the multidisciplinary collaborative research study to reveal the process and mechanism of endangerment and population decline of Chinese giant salamander using high-tech methods. On the basis of discussing the endangerment mechanism of rare animals, new precise monitoring technology of population quantity, population identification and population risk assessment technology, and habitat restoration and monitoring technology were developed. Research and development of in vivo and in vitro conservation and utilization technologies of genetic resources, establish genetic resources management regulations and data sharing platform; Use high-tech methods to conquer artificial reproductive technology bottleneck for the low success rate of rare and endangered animals, build artificial breeding and squalid conditions released technology system, solve the species conservation of genetic resources preservation in the process of using the technical challenge and ecological conservation, and through the protection of flagship species and the key to promote typical fragile ecological regions of biodiversity maintenance and recovery.
