small RNAs and DNA methylation in rice gametes

The goal of this project is to survey small RNAs and DNA methylation in isolated rice gametes as well as several vegetative tissues using Illumina sequencing. For two vegetative tissues, mature embryo and endosperm, we are including both wild-type and drm2 mutants. For low-input libraries from isolated gametes, we are using a post-bisulfite adapter tagging (PBAT) library preparation method for bisulfite sequencing.
