Relative transmission speed when shifting the travel patterns.

We compare simulations in settings with the time dependent transmission rate characterized by three levels of circadian effects (high C = 1, medium C = 0.5 and C = 0 with no circadian effect) in three scenarios by advancing, delaying mobility one hour or not. Taking mobility without shifting as baseline, we estimate the relative measure of (ΛΔt) for each scenario to illustrate the potential transmission speed, from which we can distinguish trends with respect to circadian effects (see Figs 5 and 6).
