Deccan Volcanic Province Total Volatile Degassing Estimates

This is a supplementary file (S2) to the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research review article on Volatile Emissions from Deccan Volcanic Eruptions and their Effects on Climate across the K-Pg Boundary. This worksheet deals with calculating the rough estimates of total emissions of H2O, SO2, HCl, HF and CO2 from the entire Deccan Traps based on the pre-eruptive magmatic volatile content (H2O, S, Cl, F and CO2) of the Western Ghats formations using the petrologic method developed by Thordarson et al. (1996) and Self et al. (2006).
