This project is a first step in identifying which olfactory-receptor genes are expressed in the antennae of mosquito after a blood meal. 1000 antennae from 500 female mosquitoes were pooled and total RNA extracted for barcoded RNA-Seq library preparation. A second barcoded RNA-Seq library was prepared from pooled hind legs as a as a non-olfactory control tissue.
