Share of information security departments in the public sector South Korea 2016-2022

In 2022, the share of information security departments in government agencies and public institutions in South Korea reached around 72.7 percent, a stark increase from about 58.5 percent in the previous year. South Korea has one of the leading e-government systems in the world, but has relatively few information security personnel in the public sector. This is slowly changing.
