The objective of this study was to investigate the biological effect of foliar spray with COS-OGA elicitor (FytoSave 0.5%) in comparison with water-treated flax plants (Linum usitatissimum var. Elixir, Terre de Lin, France) using transcriptomics [RNA-sequencing (RNA-Seq)]. Biological material was harvested one day after one or three sprayings and seven days after three sprayings.A subset of plants treated three times with water or COS-OGA elicitor was also infected with Verticillium dahliae (mix of 2 strains Ve053/VeSL, 1.25 conidia*10exp9/pot of 9 plants) and collected 7 days after infection.The cumulative (one or three treatments), persistence (one and seven days after the last application), and infection effects (three treatments + Verticillium infection) on gene expression were assessed.
