NRS-13856 | Register of grants upon purchase of reclaimed Crown lands

These registers contain copies of deeds of grant issued in respect of land alienated under section 9 of the Crown Lands Alienation Act, 1861 which provided that the Governor might "authorise any land having frontage to any harbour or river to fill in and reclaim any land adjoining thereto and lying beyond or below high watermark or to erect a wharf or jetty".(7/985-87). 3 vols. Note:This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
