This dataset supports research on the mechanisms of student negative emotions in technology-mediated intermittent dropout, including quantitative data (for fsQCA analysis, covering negative emotions and indicators of intermittent dropout behavior) and qualitative data (semi-structured interview transcripts reflecting students' technology learning experiences and emotional connections to such behavior). It can be used to replicate relevant analyses on emotion-integration models and related studies. Ethical approval was granted by the Ethics Committee of Tongling Polytechnic (Approval No. 5).
