The avax-tweets-dataset was developed by researchers at the Information Sciences Institute of the University of Southern California, with a core focus on anti-vaccine content on social media. The dataset is composed of two components: 1) keyword-centric data collected via the Twitter Streaming API, containing over 1.8 million Tweets; 2) historical account-level data collection, encompassing more than 135 million Tweets. This dataset was compiled using specific vaccine-related keywords and historical tweets from accounts that disseminate anti-vaccine narratives. It can be utilized to conduct research on anti-vaccine misinformation across social media platforms, enabling a more comprehensive understanding of vaccine hesitancy.
