渭河流域是指渭河及其支流（泾河、北洛河等）汇水区域。渭河是黄河第一大支流，渭河流域西起甘肃省渭源县鸟鼠山（2609米），向东南经麦积山（1658米），至秦岭主峰太白山（3767米），向东至终南山（2604米），华山（2160米），至潼关入黄河口。从鸟鼠山向东北经隆中高原，华家岭（2450米），经六盘山（2928米），向东至白于山（1823米），沿黄龙山南下至黄河会合处。流域4个极点地理坐标为西起东经103度58分18秒，东至东经110度16分28秒；南起北纬33度41分47秒，北至北纬37度24分30秒。流域面积134,731.12平方千米，流域界线长2768.24千米。渭河流域是黄河的精华所在，古城西安、轩辕黄帝陵等蕴育中华文化的遗产地均位于该流域。渭河流域涵盖的土地划归于陕西省、甘肃省和宁夏回族自治区。本数据是在ASTER-DEM数据基础上，根据流域面积提取算法提取初步结果，再与google earth遥感影像匹配后生成。数据采取.kmz 和.shp 格式存储。压缩后数据量8.47MB。

The Wei River Basin is defined as the catchment area of the Wei River and its tributaries, such as the Jing River and the North Luo River. The Wei River is the largest tributary of the Yellow River. The basin originates from Mount Niaoshu (2609 m) in Weiyuan County, Gansu Province, extending southeastward to Maijishan Mountain (1658 m), then to Taibai Mountain (3767 m), the main peak of the Qinling Mountains, and eastward to Zhongnan Mountain (2604 m) and Huashan Mountain (2160 m), finally reaching the estuary where the Wei River empties into the Yellow River at Tongguan. From Mount Niaoshu, the basin extends northeastward across the Longzhong Plateau, passing through Huajialing Mountain (2450 m) and Liupan Mountain (2928 m), then eastward to Baiyu Mountain (1823 m), and southward along the Huanglong Mountain to the confluence with the Yellow River. The geographic coordinates of the four extreme points of the basin are: westernmost at 103°58'18" E, easternmost at 110°16'28" E; southernmost at 33°41'47" N, and northernmost at 37°24'30" N. The basin has a total area of 134,731.12 square kilometers, with a basin boundary length of 2768.24 kilometers. The Wei River Basin is known as the essence of the Yellow River basin, as cultural heritage sites that have nurtured Chinese civilization, including the ancient city of Xi'an and the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, are all located within its territory. The land area of the Wei River Basin spans across Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, and the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. This dataset was generated by first extracting preliminary results using a basin area extraction algorithm based on ASTER-DEM data, then matching the results with Google Earth remote sensing imagery. The data is stored in .kmz and .shp formats, with a compressed size of 8.47 MB.
