This database curates nucleotide and protein sequences for 554 ligand-gated ion channel subunits, including the cys-loop receptor superfamily, ATP-gated ion channel superfamily, and ionotropic glutamate receptor superfamily. The database is maintained by the Le Novère Laboratory at the Babraham Institute, but has currently been frozen and is no longer actively updated.
