TIP 2024-2027 Project Points

This is the project data from the draft 2024-2027 TIP. It represents data from the time of publication only and not subsequent amendments. The TIP 2024-2027 Project Points layer has a point for each project. The TIP 2024-2027 Project Lines layer has a line for projects with easily defined limits, such as highway projects. Projects locations such as intersections and transit stations are only depicted as points. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a collection of $4.24 billion worth of highway, transit, bicycle and pedestrian transportation projects. The full 2024-2027 TIP with more information on these projects is available online on the 2024-2027 TIP webpage. There are a number of projects in the TIP that do not appear on this map because they are not specific to a single location. These include projects such as MDOT SHA areawide improvements; many MDOT MTA projects such as preventive maintenance, ridesharing, capital and operating funds for Locally Operated Transit Systems, and rolling stock and infrastructure improvements; Baltimore citywide projects; and county bridge inspection projects. The Baltimore Regional Transportation Board approved the 2024-2027 TIP on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. A comment period was held from Wednesday, May 17 through Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Each TIP project list is superseded by the next year's report. There also may be amendments throughout the year which are not reflected in the GIS data.
