ABC broadcasts to schools in radio 3 areas, 1981

The aim is to discover the degree and manner of usage of ABC Educational Broadcasts on the Radio 3 Network in Non-metropolitan schools throughout Australia. Principals of schools were aksed to indicate which, if any, programs had been used in their schools, and of what value the programs were. Topics include: whether the school has used any ABC educational radio broadcasts; form in which programme was used ('live', on tape made by school, or on tape obtained from another source) and if from another source, whether that is because the school cannot receive the actual broadcasts; whether the school has used specific ABC programmes and an evaluation of the programme's educational value; reasons why the school has not used ABC radio broadcasts; and, additional comments about the value of radio broadcasts. Background variables include State, distance of school from nearest town with a population of 10,000 or more, type of school (government or private), education level (primary or secondary), and, number of students attending school. Data refers to period from 1st July 1981 to 31 August 1981
