In current study, we found that ITGB1 gene overexpression significantly elevated COL II (collagen II), aggrecan and SOX9 (SRY-Box 9) expression but suppressed COL I (collagen I) expression in hADSCs. Next-generation RNA sequencing identified totally 246 genes differentially expressed in hADSCs by ITGB1 overexpression, including 183 up-regulated and 63 down-regulated genes.Based on label-free proteomics, bioinformatics and co-expression analysis, we discovered that differentially expressed genes and proteins were enriched in various biological processes such as cell adhesion and differentiation and many signaling pathways like the ERK signaling pathway.
