"The sharp increase in traffic across mobile and fixed communication networks, as well as the emergence of large satellite constellations such as Starlink, makes improving data transmission rates one of the key challenges for the industry. Simply \u201cincreasing transmitter power\u201d or expanding the frequency band is no longer sufficient: the spectrum is limited, while quality-of-service requirements continue to grow. This paper examines a comprehensive approach to increasing user data rates in modern communication systems. It demonstrates how spatial-frequency multiplexing tech-niques (OFDM\/OFDMA, carrier aggregation, MIMO and Massive MIMO, beam form-ing) combine with adaptive modulation and coding algorithms, as well as protocol- and architecture-level solutions (optimizing transport protocols, reducing overhead, applying caching and edge infrastructure). Using LTE\/5G networks, next-generation Wi-Fi standards, and low-Earth-orbit satellite systems as examples, the paper discusses which technical solutions contribute most to the actual throughput experienced by end users. It is emphasized that further development of high-speed communication systems is inevitably linked to increased architectural complexity and higher requirements for resource management and security."
