资源简介:
The dataset contains temperature, salinity and biological parameters, for example dissolved oxygen and turbidity data, measured by a seaglider in the region of Maria Island (Tasmania).
The Ocean Gliders Facility (formerly known as the Australian National Facility for Ocean Gliders (ANFOG)), located at the University of Western Australia, manages seagliders to monitor the boundary currents surrounding Australia.
The seaglider "SG154" was deployed on 13 February 2009 east of Maria Island, Tasmania. This was the first extended sea glider deployment in the southern hemisphere. A team from CSIRO successfully recovered the seaglider on 14 April 2009, about 16 nautical miles east northeast of Pirates Bay, Tasmania. During the 60 days of its deployment and the 1500-kilometre voyage, the seaglider performed around 430 dives.
The variables available in this dataset are: temperature, salinity, conductivity, density, pressure, chromophoric dissolved oxygen matter, dissolved oxygen, fluorescence and backscatter coefficient at 660 nm.
