<p>3D scan of the 47.3 kilogram Cabin Creek iron meteorite, which due to its shape, is the best example of a so-called oriented meteorite. The fall took place at 3:17 pm on March 27th 1886. The meteorite was found in a 90 cm deep hole, not far from Cabin Creek in Arkansas (USA), after some loud sounds and whirring noises were heard as far as 120 km away from the impact point.</p><p>The meteorite was generously donated by the factory-owner Albert Mayer von Gunthof.</p>
