Data from: Hit snooze: an imperiled hibernator assesses spring snow conditions to decide whether to terminate hibernation or re-enter torpor

This dataset includes hibernation termination and emergence phenology for adult northern Idaho ground squirrels (<i>Urocitellus brunneus</i>) as measured by geolocators attached to free-ranging individuals. The dataset also includes metrics used as predictor variables (notably snow depth and squirrel sex) in generalized linear mixed-effects models designed to explain intraspecific variation in the probability of a squirrel re-entering torpor following initial emergence from hibernation in spring. Some additional data on snowmelt date, relative emergence timing, and subsequent reproductive status are also included. Code for that GLMM analysis is also included. The data file includes a metadata sheet to better explain the data and its collection.
