A dataset of the geochemical composition of dredged marine sediments from harbors in southern France

The dataset is composed of geochemical and physicochemical results of 146 marine sediments wastes collected before dredging operations between 2010 and 2021. The sampling was designed to capture the large diversity of sediment distribution in harbors of southern France. Compositional parameters (dry matter, organic matter, total nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfate, chloride, trace metals and organics elements) were analyzed according to French AFNOR standards. This dataset covers a wide range of variability in the composition of dredged sediments, and is of great interest to researchers, managers of recycling companies, chemometricians, engineer and agronomists seeking references for the reuse of these wastes in a circular economy perspective.
