Fusarium oxysporum, a soil-borne hemibiotrophic fungus, is responsible for wilt symptoms, plant death and severe yield reduction. The mechanisms of infection and the complex pathogenicity of F. oxysporum in Vigna mungo and the resistance mechanisms induced by exogenous salicylic acid are still poorly understood by the scientific community due to the limited availability of genomic resources.
